An introduction to the Leicester store and its staff

With Leicester's new regeneration we are quite proud to be located in the untouched and peaceful area of London Rd. Our historic railway station, only a short walk away is an architectural delight, and even closer is the divine and peaceful Victoria Park (that is assuming there's not a concert at De Montfort hall or a colourful carnival passing through!)

If you're not lucky enough to slip in to one of our prime parking spaces right outside the store, you can always park on the Granville Road car park which runs down the side of Victoria Park. Coming from Victoria Park, simply take the left at the traffic lights when you have passed the store on the left, first left again, the road swings round and the car park is on your right. Another left on foot and lo and behold you're right back at the store. If you are traveling from the station end of town, you can't turn right at that junction, so follow the A6 up to a roundabout, loop back on yourself and turn left in to Granville Road.

We have more large flat screen TV's than anyone else in Leicester, most of them running on HD material including Blu-Ray/Hd-DVD. Pop down and see us, have a coffee and watch some TV the nature intended it!

At the Leicester store the team is controlled by the iron fist of the Sith.  This does occasionally lead to some friendly squabbling (usual about which Star Wars had the better ending – Empire!). Sometimes we even socialize together, invading small planets looking for droids we can never find. We always enjoy a good battle with the Jawas! Most of our time is spent cruising through the galaxy looking for the latest and greatest Hi-Fi, Home-Cinema and Flat Screen bargains to offer you. So if you want to be made to feel like one of the team, and you want the best advice on how to get a set-up as cool as any of ours, then you know where to come!

STORE STAFF

Harry (aka Darth Harry), Store Manager
Harry has been with the Richer Sounds Leicester store “since oh before you were born”. The man is a walking fountain of knowledge on all things Richer and still loves his job as much as the first day. A big fan of rock music he loves his old TDL speakers and as many watts as possible! An avid supporter of Sith United he follows their battles against local Jedi City (although we all know how it ends) he never tires of flashing his light sabre about just to keep us on our toes.

Tim (aka The Kid), Deputy Manager
Chameleon like Tim changes his hair colour almost weekly! Not intentionally, he banged his head when capturing Princess Leia and it just doesn't stop changing. But either with long purple hair or a short spiky do, he absorbs hi-fi and home cinema knowledge like a very bored sponge and is always happy to impart his technical know how to others! Tim is particularly interested in Plasma and LCD and he has a wide range of technical know-how in this area, and being a keen Xbox360 devotee you will usually find him on Halo destroying noobs. Be it multi-room, HD, Games, Hi-Fi or Wi-Fi he has been there, done that and sometimes even got the t-shirt. At home Tim loves mountain biking, rock music, DIY and looking at his posh hi-fi for hours on end!

Brian (aka DVD God), Sales Consultant
Brian has been with the company for 6 years, & as you can tell by the monika he is “the DVD God”. This man can talk home-cinema for hours due to having what he calls “mad skillz”. Be it DVD players, surround amps, special edition discs, special features, where to buy, or finding hidden Easter eggs. Home cinema is Brian's first love; he embraced the format 12 years ago & never looked back. Never buy anything even remotely DVD related without asking Brian first.

Ben (aka Beef), Sales Consultant
Ben has been with us for nearly a year now and even though we still refer to him as newbie he certainly isn't. You'll find him always on hand to sort out any problem or question and goes to many lengths to you what you're after. Like Tim he is an avid Xbox360 and Nintendo Wii player it makes him valuable for anyone wanting to get the ultimate in gamer setup advice.

Ellis (New boy), Sales Consultant
What can we say about Ellis? Well not much as he hasn't been here long, but he has shown great potential. Picking up things faster than Lewis Hamilton (you know what we mean). You will get a warm welcome with Ellis's lovely smile.

Paul Field, Trainee Sales Assistant
Our newest member of the team, Paul presents a wealth of knowledge on anything surrounding computers and flat screens. As a new boy he oozes enthusiasm and given a chance will talk to you all day about anything from wiring up your Gran's TV to who he fancies winning the rugby at the weekend. An amateur boxer in his spare time, when it comes to advice on anything digital, he punches well above his weight. Just don't tickle him!

Sunil & Jitesh (Sunji), Keepers Of The Stockroom
The twins as we call them (hence the joint nick-name) have been with us for a good few years now. They cater to all our needs, getting our lunch, snacks and carrying the heavy boxes we just don't want to. Faster than lightning at getting boxes even before we ask for them. Don't be surprised if they give you pointers when we aren't around, these guys work with the best in the business, they know their stuff. You may sometimes see them dotted around the City handing out catalogues, just spreading the good news. Being an avid Liverpool supporter Jitesh tends to be in the firing line when Harry's team (Man Utd) loses, Sunil doesn't follow football and just tends to giggle at everything.

We are a diverse but strangely synergistic group of geeks. Our relative strengths mean we work together like a well oiled machine. Our passion for the equipment we sell is only rivaled by our desire to please and our quest to find the still missing droids.

We firmly believe our technical knowledge, experience and expertise cannot be matched in Leicester, and possibly by any other branch of Richer Sounds, maybe by anyone, anywhere, ever! Yes, we really are THAT GOOD! Go on ask us! And if by any chance we don't know, we're all pretty good on the web too and we'll go find out for ya!
